Workshops to produce funding applications

As a scientist at the University of Gothenburg you can apply for funding from Sea and Society to cover costs for workshops where you gather a number of ocean scientists in order to write transdiciplinary (across faculties) applications for funding from for example BONUS or Formas.

Sea and Society will cover real costs for accommodation and food and encourage you to use the marine stations Tjärnö and Kristineberg with very good conference facilities. The Centre will cover cost for accommodation and food also for non-GU scientists taking part in the workshop.

The maximum cost covered is 30 000 SEK and the workshop is reported with a short written summary of the workshop (maximum half a A4).

To get support GU scientist from at least two faculties must take part in the workshop and the topic lie within the Sea and Society field of interest.


Scientists from the University of Gothenburg taking part in writing funding applications coordinated by other universities/partners can obtain support covering travel expenses to workshops if there are scientists from at least two faculties at the University of Gothenburg represented and the topic lies within the Sea and Society field of interest. To apply follow the instructions above and state your preliminary travel expenses.
