Special call for support to research within human and social sciences

The call has closed. Many were interested and we recieved 22 applications in total.

The marine and maritime profile of the University of Gothenburg is strong and includes a broad range of research areas, although the majority of researchers are natural scientists. Sea and Society aims to strengthen the marine profile further by support to transdisciplinary research, but in order to build coalitions across disciplines some marine and maritime research needs to expand. To encourage GU researchers in humanities and social science to do more research related to coasts and oceans, Sea and Society now launches a special call for funding research projects in marine social science and humanities, or in transdisciplinary research with the main part being social science or humanities.

You can apply for funding of between 100 000 – 500 000 SEK, covering costs for salaries including social cost and OH. The main applicant needs to hold a PhD degree. Decisions on funding will be made at the Sea and Society Steering committee meeting on April 20 and the results announced shortly thereafter.
